My Epi Les Paul has bone nut, frets leveled, complete setup, tried many pups (currently stock neck and Rockfield SWV bridge, Gotoh bridge) and alu tailpiece, 50's wiring, Orange Drops (waiting for PIO's from Jonesy) reflectors and pointers. My Squire Strat Standard has all new guts: new pg, GFS vintage pups, Orange Drop, black knobs, and gave it the Clapton mod to the trem. ... After the primer was sanded down I covered it with just one coat of Storm Grey Metallic Automotive paint. I then used a combination of sandpaper, Scotchbrite pads, and razorblades to achieve the desired effect ... It's got a nice Alder body and Maple neck. After a little tweaking it sounds real nice. I got to play it through my amplifiers and the tone had such a Hendrix feel to it.
